The long-awaited sequel to Georgia O’Keeffe Words|Works is here.
Pairing beautiful new photography of O’Keeffe’s home and studio with her artwork, quotes and historic photographs, Words|Works Volume Two: Abiquiú showcases one of her greatest works: her home and studio.
From the cover: In 1945, Georgia O’Keeffe purchased a walled, four-acre site on a mesa in the village of Abiquiú , 45 miles (72 kilometers) northwest of Santa Fe. The property included an uninhabited Spanish colonial adobe house with a garden, which she restored. She lived and worked at the site from 1949 until 1984, when she moved to Santa Fe. The site’s architecture and surrounding landscape inspired many of O’Keeffe’s iconic works.
