Georgia O’Keeffe’s Clouds & Skies
Throughout her life, Georgia O’Keeffe explored the theme of clouds and skies in her work, often using the subject as a platform for compositional and conceptional innovation. Join Grace Almanza, School and Tour Programs Manager at the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum, for a deep dive into the Museum’s collection and a selection of O’Keeffe’s paintings that feature clouds and skies. Throughout the talk, Almanza will show how clouds and skies were represented variously throughout O’Keeffe’s career and why this theme is an excellent way to jump into the study of O’Keeffe’s iconic abstractions of the natural world.
