Join us for an exploration of painting with gouache. This beginning-level, in-person class will introduce you to working with gouache, an opaque, creamy water-based paint. Similar to watercolor, gouache dries quickly but with a matte finish perfect for layering and building color. In this class, take time to get familiar with the medium by making color blocks of paint. From there you will experiment with creating different layered patterns inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe’s abstract paintings, to loosen up your hands and unleash your creativity as you learn basic gouache painting techniques.

This is a two-part workshop that occurs on Friday, February 24 and Friday, March 3 from 3:00pm–5:00pm MST.

Registration limited, all supplies are included: Members $35/Non-members $45

This class is suitable for youth ages 12 and up. Children are welcome to participate alongside their adults.

Space is limited, reservations required.

This program will take place in the Education Annex at 123 Grant Avenue, Santa Fe, NM.
