Family Fun Day: New Year, New Me!

  • Sunday, January 8
  • 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM MT
  • Santa Fe, NM

Family Fun Day events are free to all families! Participating families will also receive free entry to the museum after checking in at the Education Annex

What does it mean to have an identity? Identity can mean different things to different people. It might be about who you hang out with, what music you listen to, where you live, your culture, or your community. Simply put – your identity is ‘who you are’! Georgia O’Keeffe identified as an artist, maker, and creator. Her love of cooking, her fashion style, and her passion for art contributed to her personal identity. Join us for a day full of exploring personal identity through art-making, interactive in-gallery activities, and story-time! Families can also enjoy special access to our brand-new exhibition, ‘Georgia O’Keeffe: Making A Life’.

This event is free to all families and participating families will receive a pass for free admission to the museum!

Family Fun Day will be held across the entire Georgia O’Keeffe Museum Campus. Please visit us first in the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum Education Annex (located at 123 Grant Ave) when you arrive to receive your pass for museum entry, campus map, and schedule of activities for the day.

The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum is proud to introduce Family Fun Day: occurring on the second Sunday of every month, this event aims to bring the community together through hands-on artmaking and storytelling, as well as encouraging kids and families to take a new approach in looking at and interacting with art. Family Fun Day is offered in partnership with the Santa Fe Children’s Museum and Santa Fe Public Libraries.

Watercolor sketch of houses and landscape. There are two houses, the one that is slightly larger is located closer to the left side of the paper, the smaller house is closer to the right side of the paper. The walls of the houses are purple and the roofs are red. The houses are situated slightly above the center of the paper and the front of the paper is dominated by an expanse of light green which fades to yellow as it gets nearer to the houses.
