Dive into the art of travel and exploration!

Join us for Family Day to dive into the art of travel and exploration! Georgia O’Keeffe was an avid adventurer—she traveled the world from Mexico to Japan and painted the places that impressed her most. Would you travel the world if you could? What is your dream travel destination? Through a variety of artmaking, storytime, and creative activities, you can travel around the world at the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum!

Planning to stop by for Family Day? RSVP ahead of time! While registration is not mandatory to attend, registering ahead of time helps us prepare. Thank you for helping us out!

Schedule of Activities:

  • 11 AM–12 PM: Story Time with Santa Fe Public Library
  • 11 AM–1 PM: Creative Activities with the Santa Fe Children’s Museum
  • 10:30 AM–2:30 PM: Passport Scavenger Hunt (with prizes)!

The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum is proud to offer Family Day! Occurring on the second Sunday of every month, this event aims to bring the community together through hands-on artmaking, storytelling, and creative activities, as well as encouraging kids and families to take a new approach in looking at and interacting with art! Family Day is a free event offered in partnership with the Santa Fe Children’s Museum and Santa Fe Public Libraries.

Museum admission is free all day for New Mexico residents and Family Day Participants.

Upcoming Events

Large pinkish/orange shell that dominates most of the canvas, with a much smaller shell beside it on the lower left. Both are oval in shape and open to their undersides, exposing the dark glossy pink of the inside of a shell. They are nestled on a white cloth or tissue paper that has folds suggesting a depth, as if the objects are in a box. The larger shell is chipped on it's upper left tip.
