Family Day: All About Georgia

  • Sunday, December 8
  • 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM MT
  • 217 JOHNSON STREET, SANTA FE, NM

Celebrate the legacy of Georgia O'Keeffe by participating in her favorite activity—painting!

Who is Georgia O’Keeffe? Why do we continue to celebrate her art more than 130 years after her birth? Join us to explore the 98-year history of Georgia O’Keeffe, as well as the legacy she left behind. Through a variety of hands-on artmaking, creative activities, and story time, the whole family can dive deep into the legacy of Georgia O’Keeffe and why she remains an important figure in the history of New Mexico.

Planning to stop by for Family Day? RSVP ahead of time! While registration is not mandatory to attend, registering ahead of time helps us prepare. Thank you for helping us out!

Due to the winter weather, the outdoor patio will be closed. Activities will take place inside Gallery 7 from 10 AM–12PM, with additional free Grab & Go kits provided by the Santa Fe Children’s Museum.

The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum is proud to offer Family Day! Occurring on the second Sunday of every month, this event aims to bring the community together through hands-on artmaking, storytelling, and creative activities, as well as encouraging kids and families to take a new approach in looking at and interacting with art! Family Day is a free event offered in partnership with the Santa Fe Children’s Museum and Santa Fe Public Libraries.

Museum admission is free all day for New Mexico residents and Family Day Participants.
