Celebrate “Pink Tulip” Month at the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum
Events for all ages are lined up for May, highlighting the Museum’s newest addition to its permanent collection
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE–April 15, 2025–(Santa Fe, NM)–Just in time
for spring, focus on the floral motif at the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum! A full lineup of events for all ages has been planned to celebrate the Museum’s newest acquisition, Pink Tulip, 1925.
Painted in 1925, the dazzling mix of two O’Keeffe trademarks, floral imagery and abstraction, is on view in the Museum Galleries after being held in private collections for more than 90 years. It was auctioned in 2023, when the Museum acquired the piece and conducted conservation work before it was ready for display. At almost three feet tall, the waves of vibrant palette of yellow and green next to a bloom of pink capture a sense of excitement and pleasure—in the beauty of the flower itself and in the visual experimentation.
