Georgia O’Keeffe Museum to Host Educator Night
New Mexico Educators Invited for Night of Networking and Knowledge
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE–December 9, 2024–(Santa Fe, NM)–Teachers of any level and subject are invited to the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum Educator Night on Thursday, January 30, 2025 from 6:00 PM–8:00 PM. This free event, open to all New Mexico educators, offers a unique opportunity to network, learn more about Georgia O’Keeffe, and explore how art-based learning can be integrated into any classroom.
The focus of the evening will be showcasing the Museum in a new light—as a classroom resource! Educators will get exclusive access to lesson plans and art activities that can be applied in grades K-12 or focus area. Members of the Museum’s Learning and Engagement Department will be available to answer questions and light refreshments will be served. Participants will also have the chance to enter a raffle for special prizes and can join guided tours of two current exhibitions at the Museum, A Circle Nothing Can Break and Making A Life.
“O’Keeffe herself spent part of her career as an educator and was deeply committed to learning throughout her life,” said Grace Almanza, School & Tours Programs Manager. “This event reflects both the Museum’s mission and O’Keeffe’s own passion for teaching. We’re excited to connect with educators from across New Mexico for a fun and inspiring evening focused on arts integration as a tool for student success.”
The event is free to attend, but capacity is limited. Participants can RSVP here.
