Finding Mabel Dodge Luhan

August 4, 2021

Shannon Bay

This talk is a reading from the book Turquoise Door: Finding Mabel Dodge Luhan in New Mexico by author Lauren Camp. Turquoise Door brings the contemporary realities of the Southwest into a conversation with history. Enjoy hearing epistolary poems to Mabel and learning about the history that Camp discovered in creating this collection of poems. Lauren Camp is the author of four other poetry collections, including One Hundred Hungers, which won the Dorset Prize and was finalist for the Arab American Book Award. She mentors writers of all ages and levels, and lives in New Mexico.

This lecture was recorded on July 7, 2021 as a part of the Mornings with O’Keeffe series. It was supported in part by a generous grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities and the New Mexico Humanities Council.
