Can you count the rings of a tree to learn about its age?

How do we know the age of a tree? By counting its rings, of course! Join experienced artist Christina Kortz at Southside Library to create your own tree slice! By drawing circles within circles, kids and families can learn about how to count the rings of a tree while also flexing their creative muscles.

Christina Kortz has been with the O’Keeffe Museum since the year 2000. She began as an Education Coordinator and Family Programs Manager and now works as a Museum Educator and Gallery Guide. Christina is an experienced arts educator, illustrator, fashion stylist, and dancer.
