The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum offers several means by which to become acquainted with the Museum and its exhibitions. Taking time to learn about and engage with the artwork through the exhibition guides,
docent tours,
audio tours, or
group tours will add a level of understanding to your visit that is sometimes difficult to obtain on your own. At the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum it is important to us that you have an educational as well as enjoyable visit and we hope you take advantage of the opportunities that are offered.
If you are traveling with a large group, let the Museum help you design a
Group Tour especially for your participants.
When the Museum is closed to install a new exhibition,
Research Center Tours are available to the public on a limited basis. The Research Center houses many of O’Keeffe’s personal effects including art materials from her studios, clothing, and her bone, rock, and shell collections.
The Georgia O’Keeffe Museum welcomes
School Groups. View the Museum and create an art project during your visit.
In addition, O’Keeffe’s
Abiquiu House and Studio is open for tours during certain times of the year. Visit her home and see how the artist lived and how her personal lifestyle reflected her aesthetic.
