Georgia O’Keeffe was highly inspired by the natural world. Her artifacts of exploration often included animal bones and skulls, and her photography demonstrated a high affinity and appreciation for her Chow dogs and other animals. Her depictions of life and decay offer complexity and evoke appreciation toward the cycles of nature. Join us as we immerse ourselves in the rich and beautiful world of animals!

In this class, explore various watercolor techniques and animal physiology through shape, color, and line. Inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe’s style, through the combination of demonstration and work time, we will explore the flow of the medium and capture the essence of the being. For this workshop-style class, a different animal will be presented during each session and a reference image will be sent to the group before class time.

This class is suitable for youth ages 12 and up. Children are welcome to participate alongside their adults.

Space is limited, reservations required.

This program will take place via the video conferencing app – ZOOM. Details for accessing the Zoom meeting will be with your receipt upon registering and again sent via email the day prior. Please register in advance in order to access the program. Note that all program times are in Mountain Time.

Online classes are not recorded. Online classes are offered only as a live and interactive experience.
