The Art and Leadership Program for Girls and Boys is a leadership- and gender-based program designed to use the creative interests of children aged 11-13 to foster the development of leadership skills, build confidence, and encourage the setting of ambitious goals.  The multi-disciplinary programming includes workshops in the literary as well as visual arts.  The Art and Leadership Program for Girls and Boys operates year-round, partnering with public and private schools in the region, with an annual “Summer Intensive” held between June-August.  The program has won national recognition and served as a model for programs in other communities, and has twice been selected as a semi-finalist in the President’s “Coming Up Taller” initiative, most recently this year.
