Join us in conversation with Liz Neely and special guest Barbara Buhler Lynes. This event is free to attend. Please register in advance.

Liz Neely hosts a conversation with special guest and preeminent Georgia O’Keeffe scholar Barbara Buhler Lynes to discuss how looking back at O’Keeffe’s historic exhibitions provides a view into the development of the artist’s career and public persona.

This talk celebrates the publication Exhibiting O’Keeffe: The Making of an American Modernist as well as a searchable collection of Georgia O’Keeffe’s historic exhibitions including lists of artworks, exhibition installation photographs, and other archival documentation. These publications give us a closer look at the development of exhibitions showcasing the artist and how they reveal a network of personal and professional relationships that shaped perceptions of the artist, exhibiting institutions, and ultimately our understanding of American Modernism.

This event is free to attend. Please register in advance. Please email contact@gokm.org or call 505-946-1000 for assistance with event registration.
